Monstronomicon Cover

Lo and Behold! The Atlas of the Cosmic Horror arrived! 112 pages, 52 short stories, 52 artwork of eldritch abominations, be it Outer Gods or Great Old Ones from the Mythos far and wide!

This book contains journal notes of Jonathas Harth, a scholar from the infamous Miskatonic University who traveled the world far and wide and the breakthrough of the centuries to study the esoterica and the metaphysical realms. His insights unravel the rich dimension of the unspeakable, forgotten, and forsaken to time and reality itself.

The book is a passion project of 3 years in making. A journey through art, learning new skills, and finding my purchase in writing based on the titanic shoulders of the giants before me in the realms of the Cosmic Horror. It is as much a standalone book on the greatest beings from the Mythos as much as a tribute to them. You will find not just short stories and art, but also data for each of the entities - who was the original author and where and when it appeared for the first time!

Here we are, Ladies and Gentlemen!

The Inktober 2019 is over. Oh it is over for pretty much 2 weeks, but I took some extra time to get it done. Working full time tend to narrows free time quite a lot and so I must say, it was quite a lovely journey to get back to paper and ink and to work with the prompts in a way I wanted to. And if you followed my art for the challenge and the stories I wrote for them, it might become clear that they are all set in an uniform setting. A world that I slowly put together from many bricks I casted beforehands in various snipppets. I already have enough scattered material set in Posterra I decided to toss it together for a little first lick, first tate of it and use INKTOBER to be the carrier for that project. I believe it came out well!

And now I wanna sell you a things. Okay, that sounds harsh, and not really? Gumroad unfortunately disallows 'pay what you want ot nothing' for files so big, but anyway, I decided to go with pretty much dotation system - 1 buck or anything you'd like to toss my way and in return you get a 66 pages long collection of all my Inktober pieces with their stories (some of them expanded) all neatly cut together for a hopefully charming little read and a gentle introduction to my lunatic world!

Predatory mimic fruits! Old diesel living robots! Snail people! And more of the bizarre and uncanny, for the world of Posterra is an old and strange one...

It is an august occasion! For on the 1st of August the #MONSTERMONTH begins, and with it, monsters, creatures, horror aplenty!

Welcome to the 2019 edition of the Monstermonth challenge, where you digitally draw or paint monsters in monochrome… Under 1 hour!

What is the goal? Speed up your processes. Get better at working with values. Work on brush confidence. Improve your textures. Have plenty of fun. What are the rules?

It’s fairly simple:

- Digital painting or Drawing only!

- Spend no more than 1 hour for the picture. Of course no one will measure your time but yourself, but sure to try to be honest here and really try to nail it in an hour. - Monsters! Creatures! Nasty beasties. There is a Prompt list for every day, but it is OPTIONAL. Feel free to draw or paint any kind of monster you want to.

- Post your works with #monstermonth hashtag so other participants can find them!

Every week I’ll be collecting finest works in the MONSTERMONTH to display and comment on. If you post with the tag #monstermonth - expect feedback and comments!

There is 365 of you on the FB project page. For that, I am grateful beyond simple words, to know that in the great abyss so many souls signed up to embark on my little journey through myriad of Lovecraft gods and hideous beings. We don’t communicate, we do not talk, but every view you grant my work, every reaction to an artwork or a story matters to me, and so, I wanted to communicate this.

The book progress is big! We are nearing the half game now, with only 14 artworks to be done and half the stories still to be written out of 52 entries in the Atlas of Cosmic Horror. And so with GREAT PLEASURE I am giving you this link – the most up to date book with all the currently written stories and artwork in it! Enjoy:

And just to keep you in the loop, my truest supporters, what I plan to do next:

- Replace all horizontal artwork to unify the pages layout for the future print. So, changing the artwork for Azathoth, Apocolothoth and Chaugnar Faugn.

- Adding intro story and doodles introducing our intrepid researcher from Miskatonic University and some ramification of the Atlas stories, made from the journal of our protagonist.

- Creating a new cover art for the book.

Once again, titanic thanks for your endless support. I’d love to hear from you! Any feedback is precious. Which gods or beings you’d like to see done next? What is missing from the book that you’d love to see? Is there any story that you found lacking? All insights are most welcome!
